I had a hard decision to make installing these because it called for 18 holes (9
each bar) in the cabin top.
I followed all the rules. Made the holes oversize and sealed the core with
resin.
Four bolts on each bar were under the mahogany strips on the interior ceiling.
They got bolts. The others got large screws.
The installation ended up VERY solid.
These bars, as well as saving me in rough weather while on deck, can be used to
stand on to reach higher up the mast to the main sail.
These are pics looking up at the ceiling. One with the strip off and the bolts
installed. The other with the strip back in place.
THE BEST PART OF THIS
PROJECT IS THAT IT COST ONLY $14.75!!!!!!
That was for the BOLTS!
THE BARS WERE THE REAR PUSH PIT RAILS THAT WERE TAKEN
OFF THE REAR DECK TO INSTALL THE ARCH.
WHO WOULD HAVE THUNK THAT WOULD WORK??!!
